All loans are governed by the SACCO’s Credit Policy Manual which clearly stipulates:
Purpose: To support existing businesses or finance viable business ideas.
Key Note: Proof of business existence or a simple, viable business plan.
Account: Applicant must operate a Business (Joseph) Account with the SACCO.
Purpose: For general personal or family development needs (e.g., home improvement, land acquisition, asset purchase).
Key Note: Graduated limits based on savings and repayment history.
Purpose: Tailored financial support for churches, fellowships, or Christian ministries to finance property, infrastructure, or ministry projects.
Security: Guarantors, property, or ministry assets per policy.
Purpose: To cater for unexpected and unavoidable emergencies (e.g., medical, funeral, legal matters).
Requirement: Documented proof of the emergency.
Purpose: To enable members to acquire residential plots, land, or housing units.
Requirement: Active Makao Savings Account and consistent deposits for at least twelve months.
Security: Includes both guarantors and collateral (the property itself may serve as security).
Purpose: To support agricultural activities including purchase of farming equipment, livestock, irrigation tools, and other farm-related investments.
Requirements: Member contribution towards the project; SACCO finances a percentage (per policy).
Purpose: Instant short-term mobile loans for urgent, small needs.
Platform: Disbursed via Mpesa through the SACCO’s mobile app.
Limit: Small amounts with fast turnaround.
Purpose: To finance education at primary, secondary, college, or university levels.
Requirements: Valid fee structure(s)
Disburment: Cheques payable directly to the learning institution.
Purpose: Special loan facilities for church ministers, clergy, or specific religious service providers.
Structure: Tailored products addressing the unique needs of those in ministry (terms defined in the Credit Policy).
